This starter replaces the Lucas number 25147 [s3511] and 25209[s3527],25246[s3528] starter, used in most lotus twin cams and other british ford engines. This block was used in many cars and many race cars so if you have an unusual installation, check with your parts seller. Installation in a Cortina may not be worth the trouble. We are working on a different starter for that application.
