Lenny joined the U.S. Army shortly after high school. As of this posting he is still in 22 years later. Lenny married Teresa Zickefoose from Indiana in 1984. They met in San Francisco, California where they were both in the Army and learning German at the Defense Language Institute. They have two children: Corey (b.1988) and Leah (b.1992.) Lenny is a veteran of the 1st Gulf War (Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm), and returned back to the Middle East on subsequent deployments throughout the 90's. He has also participated in military operations in Somalia and Bosnia. Lenny has been stationed throughout the United States and has spent seven years in Germany. He is currently (2000- ) stationed in Hawaii and deploys regularly to the Philippines and Thailand in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
