• Knoebels Park is a great amusement park for all!  It's a great place for all, with free parking, many "clean" picnic tables to use (you can pack a lunch), many rides to choose from (including a great old roller coaster). The park is nestled in the trees offering much shade on the hot days of summer.  I really think it's worth a visit!!
• The Hershey Park is one of the bigger parks in Penna. and has about all the rides you want.  It runs somewhere about $25-30 per person, and they do charge for parking.  While there, you can also tour the Hershey Chocolate factory and see how it's made.
• Lackawanna Coal Mine is a coal mine near Scanton, Pa. that you can tour.  You go down in the mine on a tram car.  The tour takes about 45 minutes or so and really gives a little idea about what some of the miners had to go through.  There is also a Museum there that has much nostalgia and history for you to look at.  You can also pick up some neat gifts (carved from coal) at the Gift Shop there.
• Steam Town is a must.if you want a place to go to see old trains.  This is nearby the Lackawanna Coal Mine, so you could visit both in one day, if you wish.  At Steam Town you can see some of the old steam locomotives and I think they even have rides from time to time.  You can get any info you want here.
• The Red Barons Triple A team is a great day at the ballpark if you like "Baseball". It's a great place to take the family to see them play at the Lackawanna Stadium to watch this Phillies AAA team!!  This is a very reasonable ball park, clean and good security!  You can pack something and "tailgate" in the parking lot, or just eat there--prices are reasonable.  You can get great seats for $4.00 (bleacher seats), or box seats for a little more. They have many "Specials" throughout the season with "giveaways" and special prices.  A great place to take a group also (they have group prices).  I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
• Yuengling Brewery  is a great tour, if you like "beer".  It's America's Oldest Brewery and the one that makes that great "Black & Tan"!!  It's nestled up in the mountains in Pottsville, Pa.  They have a great little Gift Shop & Museum there with lots of goodies.  Check their site for info on the tours.  See what it's like being "right there" where they brew and fill some of your favorites.  At the end of the tour, you get a couple free samples in the Hospitality Bar, which is loaded with nostalgia!

• The Blackthorn Rugby Football Club page-- (I was a charter member with the club in 1971, retired from playing, came back for a few years in my 40's, left the game after a few knee surgeries).
 
• Rugby Songs & Jokes--a good collection of some favorite Rugby songs.  Singing these Rugby songs is as much a part of Rugby as playing the game itself!  You must "win the game and the party!"
