Welcome Home !!

U.S. Army Security Agency
"Click
here" for a Special Message!!!
For all you ex-ASA'ers out there, I urge you to consider joining
the NASAA. It's a new organization that I"m sure you'll feel proud &
glad to be a member!! Please go to the link here, and give it a look!
I'm proud to be a member!!! National
Army Security Agency Association page. There are plenty of ASA links here!!
If you were in the "Agency", these sites may "interest"
you!
The 330th
RR Co. is looking for anyone that served. We've had a few reunions
and have a list of over 100 persons who served with the 330th in Pleiku, Vietnam.
If you were in the 330th, or know someone that was, have them email me
and I'll get them on the mailing list. If I hear of a reunion coming
up, I'll try and pass the word. Please check some of the other ASA links below,
there is a lot of info on them. I have some history and pictures on my 330th
page!
I also served with the 146th
Avn Co. (RR) from about May 1967 to May 1969, which was based at Tan Son
Nhut AFB in Saigon, Vietnam. I have some pictures from there on my 146th
page.
I just put up a picture of the pilots who were in the 146th
Avn. Co. (1968-1969) on a new page! Please look at this new addition
--"Pilots of the
146th".
The Army Security Agency
page---all you 05D's, 05G's, 05H's 98C's 98G's etc., a good place to start.
Mike
"Maddog"
Doran has put a great deal of time and effort into this. There are
also many more ASA related links here--give it a look!
The Army Security
Agency Locator may help you find someone. Regardless of where you
were--this is a "Registry for all ASA vets"!!
Take some time to visit the site and fill out the form! This is Vern
Greunke's site--if you were stationed at Cu Chi (and a "duffy" in the 372nd),
you might want to share this with Vern!
Some other ASA sites
to visit
- Check Curt Wayne's 8th
RRFS--Phu Bai web pages. Several great links and many pictures!
- The ASA
Vets USA Homepage is here.
- A 1st RR
Co. Home page---Remember the "Crazy Cats"? Note: This link will
not allow you to use the "back" key to return here---sorry!
- Another "Crazy
Cat" page.
- Take a look at Ralph Thadeus' ASA
Alpiners Homepage!
- Give a look at the "ASA
Yellow pages"--just bunches of ASA sites and contacts here!
- Check out John Buquoi's 3rd
RRU page for you "old timers".
All
you ARDF guys just have to check these links out. Dennis Buley's SEMA
Homepage is one of the best & most informative sites I've seen.
If you don't see it here, it just doesn't exist!!
Any Mohawk
fly-boys out there? Ever see one of those weird planes and just wonder
what the heck that "torpedo looking thing" is? You'll find some answers
here.
The USS Liberty
web site. This web site is dedicated to the memory of thirty-four
fine young men who gave their lives on June 8, 1967, defending the USS
Liberty against a sustained air and sea attack by the armed forces of the
State of Israel. It is a very interesting site and maintained
by persons who "were there"!
There was also a great book written about the USS
Liberty--"Assault on the Liberty" by Jim Ennes that I highly recommend
reading. Some reviews were:
"The book, which reads like a thriller, should
be required reading for all government employees. The writing is
first class. The relationships and conflicts of important shipboard
personalities add suspense and human drama to the story." --The
Washington Post Book World
"Ennes has done his homework well. His facts
are well documented and his clarity of writing bring them together in a
totally readable fashion. Ennes's treatment of the attack is awesome. .
.an important book." --U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings
I could not say it any better--it's an excellent,
well written book. There are some excerpts from the book on the web
site and "how to order it", too.
Remember "Big Brother"?
The Army Security Agency worked closely with the National
Security Agency for many years. Many who got their start with the ASA,
later worked for & with the NSA. In
1977, the Army Security Agency was inactivated as a major command of the
Army. Control of tactical SIGINT units at Corps and below was transferred
to those Commanders and INSCOM, the new name of the Army's Service Cryptologic
Element (SCE) controlled SIGINT resources at Corps and above.
Vietnam Veterans Section
This section is dedicated to all the Vietnam veterans,
friends & families.
