In order to take full advantage of the virtual tour,
you need QuickTime developed by Apple.
Apple supplies this software in two versions: QuickTime Standard (free) and
QuickTime Pro (not free). The Pro version is not required for this virtual tour
of Olive Branch Lodge.
In order to install QuickTime on your computer in Windows, please follow the
following instructions:
1- Download QuickTime 5 at the following address:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Please enter your e-mail address and your last and
first name, if necessary, on this page, select your system (Windows for PC or
Macintosh), and click on "Download QuickTime" button.
2- An installation software, called QuickTimeInstaller.exe, will be copied on
your hard disk in the directory of your choice. This installation software does
not take too much space and can be downloaded fast.
3- You need to launch this software in order that QuickTime be loaded and
installed completely. To this purpose, you need to go to the directory where you
copied the installation software and double-click on its icon. Follow the
instructions in order to proceed with the installation. This second phase takes
a little bit longer; you should allow 20 to 30 minutes with a standard modem. Of
course, you need to stay connected to the Internet during this last phase.
4- Once the QuickTime installation is complete, and after you restart your
computer, you can return to our site and embark on a virtual tour.
N.B. : QuickTime installation brings to your desktop various icons (shortcuts)
that you are not obliged to keep.
Please note that the download of some QuickTime panoramic images can take quite
a bit of time. Our site is equipped with a fairly compressed version. Please
send feedback to the webmaster as to the time it takes to download as I have a
very fast DSL connection and don't have a feel for the actual time as of yet.
Use of virtual views:
In order to rotate the image and see the panoramic image at 360°, click on the
image with the left button and move the mouse to the right or to the left while
keeping the button pressed. The further you move the mouse, the faster the
panoramic image rotates.
You do not need to wait for the complete download of a panoramic image in order
to rotate it. In order to zoom in and out use the capitals and control keys,
while the mouse cursor is over the QuickTime picture (without clicking).
N.B. : If you zoom too much, the picture will be distorted; this phenomenon is
perfectly normal.
Enjoy your tour!
