A good way to use up those weird-flavored tea bag samples one gets when buying some brands of tea.

STEWED PRUNES

In a 1-1/2-quart saucepan, place the water, tea bag, and prunes. Leave to soak overnight.

Remove tea bag, bring prunes to the boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes* until tender.

Cool some, and then refrigerate.

* If you use prunes with pits, simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
