With a cream biscuit/scone topping.
Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
Peel the fruit, remove the pits, and cut up into wedges. In a deep 2-cup baking dish, mix lemon juice, sugar, and fruit. Dot with butter.
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. Combine cream and flour mixture with a very large whisk.
Place dough on a lightly floured board and knead for 1 minute. Roll out dough to fit on top of fruit mixture in baking dish. Place dough on top and prick with fork. Bake in oven for 25 minutes, until golden.
Let rest 5 minutes before serving warm with thick cream to pour over.
