DAIQUIRI

• 1/8 cup lime juice (1 oz.wt.)
• 1/2 tablespoon sugar (scant if using maraschino)
• 3/8 cup white/light rum (3 oz.wt.)
• 2 dashes maraschino liqueur (1/8 teaspoon, optional)
• Lime slice (optional)

Chill two cocktail glasses. Dissolve sugar in the juice by swirling around in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add rum and any maraschino. Fill cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake vigorously. Strain into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish each glass with a half slice of lime.
