The Clamato, or clam juice, keeps this drink from being unpleasantly gloppy, as well as adding a little extra flavor.
Art Bowes’ BLOODY MARY
- 3/8 cup tomato juice (3 fl.oz.)
- 3/8 cup Clamato Original tomato cocktail (3 fl.oz.)
- 1/8 cup fresh lemon juice (1 fl.oz.)
- 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce (3/16 teaspoon)
- 2 to 4 drops Tabasco sauce
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste (4 grinds)
- Salt to taste (optional)
- 3/8 cup vodka (3 fl.oz.)
- Ice cubes
- Celery stick (optional)
Mix all the ingredients, except the vodka and ice, together to taste. When you are satisfied with the seasoning, stir in the vodka.
Pour over ice cubes in tall glasses. Serve with swizzle sticks, or an UNBLEMISHED celery stick split in two lengthwise.
