Winter Leadership conference – reminder 12/8 & 1/19

· Vice President report – TALC – HS will meeting this week Jackson Ave – Thursday, Fairmount = Friday. Reminded all to have meeting no matter what & send reports. Remember to use hea07601@yahoo.com to communicate sensitive information.

Be aware of items which are repetitive. Be sure content is CONTRACTURAL. Never “staff vs. staff” Be professional. Follow the chain of command: Staff to Building rep to administrator

NEGOTIATIONS – formal has been sent, should meet January 8. Goal is to introduce procedure, set rules & dates. February will state with proposals. This is a NEW team on the BOE. Advised the Superintendent that we are NOT a “hostile” group/union. Expect to make all things “uniform”.

Secretary Union will not join HEA at this time

PAC – Reminder: political action committee = must be as a payroll deduction, must be done annually, send to Betty Manning .

· President report: ESP – gifts for Paras – give given to distribute

Governor supports Pension Plans Deferred due to the

economic impact on towns

At the schools the agenda is followed, but no voting.

Family Leave – deduction in effect next year 2009,

about $33.00 May take -12 month employees starting 7/1 &

10 employees starting 9/1
