Welcome to all HEA Reps - An agenda was distributed

Minutes were distributed, read & approved with corrections

Charles Fulforth – Health Care System – purpose to aide members w/ job secured leave & health related services. Service is for members and family.

Officers’ Reports

·        Treasurer’s Report: Joann Montroni gave budget report $39,767.65 total accounts. Move to approve - motion carried

·        Corresponding Secretary reported – flyer sent regarding County diversity workshop on March 4th.

·        Recording Secretary report - NA

·        BCEA Report: Betty Meeks Manning:

·        PAC – Reminder: political action committee = must be as a payroll deduction, must be done annually, send to Betty Manning

·        Social Committee: NR

·        Legislative Committee: need to start to mobilize -4/6/09 packets

·        Pro right committee – grieves @MS & HHS resolved

·        Teacher Education:  new courses added

·        TALC report: all buildings have met – the report must come from committee, not principle

·        President report: highlighted various issues

BCEA Legislative dinner 4/1/09 @ The Venetian

Disability Ins. – HBOE/State does not provide

Professional development committee law revised – each Building MUST have its own committee – please get in place

            Reminders: Board of Ed Meeting - All need to attend
