My Experience with Graphics Tools For Graphics Editing, I am very happy with Photoshop 6.0. One can do almost anything with it. However, A few years ago I bought a nice Graphics & Web Toolkit from Ricsmo.com for $6+shipping. It will take some time to sort out and select the gems from the hundreds of programs that are on the CD, but I have already found some utilities that simplify and speed up my graphics work. One is ColorCastFX from MediaChance -- it quickly and effectively corrects for the disappointing color cast produced by most digital cameras. There are also several utilities that quickly give the html hex codes for any of the 16**6 colors. As time went on, I found myself using the Graphics "tools" less and doing it all with Photoshop. One tool that I have used rather consistantly is: IrfanView. IrfanView handles gif files and other files that are not easily processed by Photoshop. It can convert them to jpeg or other formats that Photoshop 6 handles more readily. Click here to read about my experiences with web hosts.
