I want to make this site easy to navigate, so here is how I have structured it: At or near the top and at or near the bottom are buttons to take you to the major topics at my site -- Currently there are six of them.

• This home page.
• A Guest Book & Contacts page
• A Reminiscences page with Biographical and Anecdotal stuff
• Pages on My Family (including some genealogy)
• Pages on My Interests
  • The main part of this section is my CLIMBING Pages
    This includes trip reports, photos, links (including links to the Pitt Outdoors Club and Explorers Club of Pittsburgh, the two organizations in which I am most active currently). It also includes some other climbing related pages.
  • Some pages on my COMPUTING experiences, especially those associated with developing this website.
  • If my wife and I get to do some Traveling, there should be some TRAVEL pages, too. (so far we haven't done any to warrant pages)
  • At some point I may add some pages about my friends in this section - mostly links to their home pages. (Haven't gotten around to this yet)
• The News Page. This has the latest news, and links to Sidel Family Annual Newsletters for past years. See the box on the right for brief announcements of the latest news entries as well as latest updates to other pages.

On every page you will find a navigating menu on the left side. It will contain buttons to get you to:

• The "parent" page of the page you are viewing.
• The other sub-pages of that "parent" page. (I call them the "sibling pages")
• The sub-topic pages of the current page you are viewing.

• "Latest News Page" Features:
  • We announce the arrival of twin grandsons, Ryder and Zephyr, on Nov 22, 2006. They will join their big brother Denali in the Santa Cruz home of their Dad, Randy, and Mom, Julie.
  • We remember some friends, whose passing was made known to us in the exchange of holiday greetings at the end of 2005.
  • We report on our efforts to reduce our possessions load through Yard Sales and eBay-half-dot-com.

• October, 2005:
  My recent trip reports and related photos (for 2004 and 2005) are posted in my "interests/climbing/PTrips" page.

• October, 2005:
  I have added some material to my interests/computing pages, covering my general computing history and my recent experiences using web-building tools, hosting services, and graphics tools.

• April & June, 2005:
  I added more anecdotes and boyhood memories to my Phil's Reminiscences pages.

• Spring, 2005:
   I have added a Western Pennsylvania Rock Climbing Forum to my "interests/climbing/links" page.
