In the SCA, I am Lord Aleksei Dmitriev, a 14th century Russian lord born in the area of Smolensk, but who traveled east to help fight the Mongols. My heraldic colors are purple, red, and silver, and my heralic animal is a griffin. I am joined in playing by my husband, known as Antonio Ricci, and my two sons, whose tentative society names are Bretslaus and Elin Aleksiev.

I joined the SCA in 1983 as Morwyn ferch Gruffydd, a 10th century Welsh maiden, and kept that persona until I became inactive sometime around 1993. When I became active again in 2003, I decided that persona no longer fit me.

I live in the Shire of Quintavia (east-central Mass), and have lived in the Barony of Carolingia (greater Boston).

My name and arms are registered with the SCA College of Heralds, as follows:
My name was registered in December of 2006 (via the East).
My device was registered in December of 2006 (via the East):
Gules, on a bend sinister between two griffins salient argent an arrow purpure.
(N.B.: the griffins should actually be segreant, but I haven't gotten it corrected yet)

At Birka 2011, Lord Finan Archer became my first yeoman.

I have received the following awards and honors in the East Kingdom:
Award of Arms (as Morwen [sic] ferch Gruffydd)
